Health & Safety

At Deemac Services we are committed to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace for all our staff, clients and visitors. We understand that safety is everyone’s responsibility and no one in our Company will feel compelled to work in an unsafe manner.

To achieve our health and safety goals we will ensure:

• Hazard identification and controls are in place
• There is regular consultation with workers about health & safety matters
• All equipment and machinery is maintained and tested
• All workers are properly inducted and adequate training provided
• Emergency plans are in place and up to date

Deemac are members of Safety Work Kits/Cleensafe Ltd and have attained Contractor pre-qualification from CPNZ Prequal.

With the introduction of the new Health & Safety at Work Act 2015, we have had our Health & Safety systems audited by the Canterbury Employers Chamber of Commerce Health & Safety Consultant and updated to comply with the terminology and requirements of the new law.
